A man with long black hair and an completely black outfit was sitting on a stump at the edge of a village that not many knew of. A forest bordered the village, and made it seem even more hidden away, and only one main trail ran through the woods. And if one went off the trail, they could be very easily lost. The man was watching an eevee and an espeon play with each other. Rolling about and biting each other playfully. A slight smile was on the man's face as he watched them. This was something rare to see, he rarely smiled, especially when he was around people. But no one was around. Then the man's smile faded and his hazel-red eyes started to dart about. He had heard something, it was off a little ways, but it was still there. The eevee and the espeon stopped playing and also started to look around. Wondering what that sound was, and where it was coming from.

A large Fearow was flying near the treetops, her eyes scanning the area looking for any sign of a path or civilization. It was hard to see anything with all surrounding foliage however and after a while she had given up and landed by her Trainer, shaking her head. "Well it was worth a shot," the man said. "Thank you, Sequoia." He patted the Fearow on the head and she nuzzled him in response. He smiled at this, though he was still worried. He had been training with Sequoia and they had managed to get lost. He wondered if they were even anywhere near Periwinkle village anymore. Though at this point, he'd be happy to see any town, even if it wasn't home.

The man saw something land off in the distance. It seemed to be a bird pokemon, but he wasn't for sure. Quietly he stood up and picked up his eevee and espeon. Placing each on one of his shoulders, the eevee on the right and the espeon on his left. Once the two pokemon were situated, he started walking towards the area he saw the thing land. As he neared the area he heard a voice. 'So it was a pokemon,' the man thought. 'And that voice must be its owner.' He walked a little further and then he saw an albino man. That was something you didn't see everyday. "Hello," he said quietly, coming out of some of the forest into the small clearing that the man had been standing in. "How did you get out here?"

The Fearow's trainer turned upon hearing the man speak. Though it probably didn't show, he was actually quite relieved to see another person out here. Especially if there was any chance the person might know how to get out of the forest. He smiled a bit. "You have no idea how relieved I am," he said finally. "I'm Senegal, from Periwinkle Village. I went out into the forest to train my Pokemon. While we were training, Sequoia and I spotted a Farfetch'd. I wanted to catch it but it ran off. We went after it to see if we could catch up and wound up lost."

The man nodded a little, but he didn't smile at all. "I understand. Many people get lost in this forest, though you're a little away from Periwinkle Village. It'd take you quite a while to get back, and that would be if you traveled from now until midnight. My name is Prozehn, by the way." The eevee that was sitting on the man's shoulders, began to fidget a bit, watching the fearow. The eevee then tried to jump down but the man caught it before it could. "You know very well, it's not good to jump from this height." He then turned his attention back to the other man. "There is a village nearby, if you want to stay there for the night," he offered.

Senegal was eager to get back home, but he knew it wouldn't be good for his Pokemon to travel that late into the night. Especially not Sequoia seeing as she had no Pokeball to rest inside of. He would have to take the man up on his offer. "I see," he replied. "I was hoping we hadn't strayed that far... In that case I'll have to accept. I hope its not a bother." As her trainer spoke, Sequoia watched the other man's Eevee curiously. "Krrrr..." came the sound from the back of her throat. A sound she often made when either content or focused on something. In this case it was the latter of the two.

The man nodded a little. "I can lead you back to your village in the morning. The woods around here can be difficult to navigate sometimes. Though once you figure it all out, you'll be good to go. And it's no trouble at all, if it was, I wouldn't have offered." The man bent down and put eevee on the ground. The eevee then looked up at the fearow and smiled a little, liking the sound that the bird pokemon made. "I apologize for eevee too. He usually isn't that fidgety, though he's also quite young yet. He was born about a month ago." The man then turned and motioned off into the woods. "Now, if you'll come with me, we can get you to the village and get you both some food." The eevee hopped up at the mention of food and started to head off towards the village. The espeon riding on Prozehn's shoulder jumped off and followed after to make sure it would stay safe.

"Thank you," Senegal replied. "I really appreciate all of your help. If there's any way I can repay you, I'll be sure to do so tomorrow when we reach my Gym in Periwinkle Village."
((Sorry its short and crap. I have horrible writer's block. T.T))

((It's perfectly fine. It hits everyone now and then. ^^))
The man stopped and turned to look at Senegal. "You're a gym leader? I never would have guessed. I'd like to see your skills sometime." the man then turned back towards the direction of the village. "I don't need any repayment, I help those in need. Anyway, the village here needs more publicity. Follow me," he said as he started walking off. He didn't worry about Senegal losing him along the way, because how could you miss a seven foot tall man?

Senegal sighed as he followed Prozehn. He still wanted to do something in return but doubted he would be able to. For some reason, the other man seemed the type who probably stood by his decisions. Still it was worth a try... Maybe he would think of something eventually. He smiled a bit. "Maybe we could have a battle first thing tomorrow," he said. "A battle tends to make good morning exercise." At this, Sequoia squawked in agreement with her trainer. She certainly loved her battles. It was likely because with the lack of travelling as compared to recent years, she was restless. It was only natural that after her adventures through all the different regions with Senegal, settling back into the sleepy village they were raised in might be a bit boring.

"That it does," he said quietly, keeping his eyes directed in front of him on the small trail. "I haven't battled in a while, though I still train with my pokemon. I've been more of a breeder recently, rather than a gym leader." The man looked slightly behind him, wondering what the other's reaction would be like after he heard this information. He still had to pay attention to the trail, or else he could be lost as well, but curiosity could get the better of one from time to time. The eevee and the espeon reached the village and sat at the front gate, waiting for their trainer and the other man to show up. Both were ready for rest and some food.

"So, you're a gym leader too then?" Senegal asked. "Then that should make things even more interesting." He had to admit he was looking forward to it even more now, and by the look of anticipation on her face, so was Sequoia. Senegal continued to follow Prozehn with Sequoia next to him as they both walked. She would have flown but she would likely have gotten ahead of everyone else if she had and not knowing the way, she knew that wouldn't be the best idea.

"Indeed, and I'm sure it will. Like I said, I'm rusty, because no one has come around this area. So, I'm looking forward to a good battle, and I expect you to do your best. Don't take it easy on me because I helped you out of the forest," and right at Prozehn said that they came out of the woods. In front of them were the gates to Smalt Village. The village was bordered by trees and by a heavy log gate. (For this imagine the Tauren starting point in WoW.) "Here it is," he said quietly. Come lets get you some food, and then you can relax for a while. I'm sure both you and your pokemon are exhausted."

"I wouldn't expect any less than for you to give it your all," Senegal replied, a smile on his face. Win or lose, what he really looked for was a challenge in a Pokemon battle. "And if you'd really like some challengers, I could direct trainers that come to my gym to yours after I've battled them. Once I know the directions between our two villages anyway." He felt that maybe this was the least he could do in return for Prozehn's help. He looked up at the village gates as they finally arrived, eyes widened in amazement. This place looked almost as though it were untouched by modern civilization. Something he admired very much.
