Short Bio: When Senegal was a baby, only a year old, he arrived in the sleepy village of Periwinkle Village in a basket being carried by a Fearow. When the Fearow landed, she carefully placed the basket down in front of a dojo, then lay down to rest next to it. She was wounded and so it was assumed she was sent to take the child somewhere safe by his parents. But having done her job, she was near death...
Hideaki the master of the Dojo took both the baby and the Fearow in. The Fearow died shortly after, but not before laying an egg, from which a baby Spearow hatched. The Spearow was named Sequoia and was raised together with Senegal.
Years later Senegal and Sequoia had grown to be best friends, and made a mutual decision to go out into the world and participate in Pokemon battles. During this time, Sequoia evolved into a Fearow, the spitting image of her mother. Together, the two won many gym battles and even entered a few Pokemon League competitions in various regions. They even made first place in the Sinnoh League. But as time wore on, they both grew tired of travelling and returned home to Periwinkle Village. When they arrived, they were informed that Master Hideaki had died. Senegal payed his respects at his master's grave that night.
A few years later, the Dojo was in disrepair. Nobody visited or trained there anymore, and it was about to be condemned. It was then that Senegal saw what he had to do. He made a deal that if he could get the place in shape within a month, that it would not be torn down. He succeeded. Though he knew that nobody was interested in the old dojo. He had to make something else of it. And so he converted the dojo into a gym and called it Hideaki Gym in honor of his master. The gym specializes in Flying Pokemon and those who manage to defeat Senegal will recieve the Wing Badge, which Which is shaped like a silver shield with wings and increases the speed of all of its holder's Pokemon.
